Sunday Morning Worship Services
10:00 - 11:15 am

Our primary worship service brings our diverse community together, sometimes sitting in the round, sometimes with chairs facing toward the worship table.  Choirs and music add inspiration and vitality to the service; the sermon and prayers bring ancient biblical themes to bear on the contemporary issues; occasional drama vignettes bring poignancy and sometimes hilarity;  “Time With Our Children” honors the inclusive nature of our congregation. The first Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday.

Pastor
Rev. Kimberly Willis is our new pastor from July 2007. Kimberly is a teaching pastor and likes to connect scripture to the people. She is committed to our values of inclusiveness and service.

MusicThe Sanctuary Choir
The music is contemporary and upbeat. Our Choir Director is Grace Cheung Schulman. The choir sings a variety of music which adds vibrancy to our services.

Our pianist, Carl Sokol, helps set the mood with jazz, gospel, classical, or other styles of music, often improvised on the spot. The hymns are generally from a Songbook created by Christ Church, or from two United Methodist hymnbooks: The Faith We Sing and The United Methodist Hymnal.

The Handbell Choir, under the direction of Colleen O'Mailey adds a delightful sound to the services when they perform.

Children & Youth
We invite children to come into the sanctuary with their parents or grandparents when they arrive for worship, and join in the “Time With Our Children” before leaving for their multi-grade Sunday School. There is Nursery Care for infants and "Time With Our Children" toddlers for the entire service. We enjoy including our children in many aspects of our life together -- everything from lighting candles on Sunday mornings, to sharing in the prayers, to participating in Acts of God™ drama group. Many of our activities are child-friendly. [More]

Children are invited forward for the “Time With Our Children” about 15 minutes into the service which includes a thought or a story to stimulate the young minds and encourage their spiritual formation.
