Habitat
for Humanity Sonoma County is a faith-based organization dedicated
to improving lives by building modest, affordable homes in partnership
with our communities and families in need. Their vision is for
every person in Sonoma County to have a simple, decent place to live.
Habitat
for Humanity of Sonoma County is an affiliate of Habitat for
Humanity International. The affiliate was
formed in 1984 by a
group of Sonoma County residents who wanted to work toward ending
poverty housing. In the early years the affiliate decided the best
use of their time and limited resources would be spent doing housing
rehabilitation, and the all-volunteer affiliate rehabilitated 18 homes
in Sonoma County.
